One of the featured budget friendly resorts in Ang Pinaka, (Chan 11), was Ambon Ambon Falls in Pangil Laguna. I immediately googled the abovementioned Resort and i was surprised na SUPER BUDGET FRIENDLY TALAGA. my guide was tutubi, a blogger I follow kasi mas detailed and directions papunta dun.
The Prep:
The Night Before. |
- How to Get There:HM Bus at Cubao (Terminal located at the back of Mang Inasal Along EDSA) bound to Sta. Cruz, Laguna. Bus Fare as of April 29, 2012, P148.50 only. Approx. 2hours.
- Pagbaba dun, ipapara nila kayo ng Jeep to Siniloan. An hour Jeepney Ride. :)
Pangil Eco park Rates:
pretty cheap huh?
Around P300-P400 for cottages and P300.00 for tent rentals..
And as other bloggers would tell you, yung trekking fee is P60/pax for a minimum of 6. per batch ang trekking so kung hindi kayo 6, (parang kaming dalawa ni mama), bbyaran niyo pa din yung P360. hindi rin naman mabigat yung P360 di ba? :)
As you enter, you will pass by a hanging bridge.that time, under renovation daw. i love hanging bridges kaso nga, ginagwa kaya hindi masyadong maganda. isa pa, ang daming tao na gustong magpapicture dun. and then the Pavilion kung saan madaming tables. almost occupied na buong pavilion kaya, sure na ako na hindi kami doon mappwesto.
Then the restrooms.
We looked for a place to build our tent. it was Ate Medy who built our tent. in less than 5 minutes, ayos na. first time ko makakita ng nagtatayo ng tent. sus, sisiw lang pala.
And then, eto na!!
P300 tent rental. want to sawa na daw. :) |
Lunch muna. syempre, Mama's famous Chicken Adobo pa din. This time, samahan mo ng nilagang itlog. :)
we rested for 30 minutes, tpos we decided to trek na. buti nasabay kami s 4 na magkakaibigan. sakto, 6 na!! gustong gusto ko na mgtrek kasi ayoko masabay sa 1 group na halos lasing na yung iba...Good thing sa kanila kami nasabay. :) sorry pero i'll share a bunch of pics. ang ganda kasi dun... :)
i's like a 30 minute trek. for a beginner like me, rate ko sya ng 1/10 when it comes to difficulty. yabang!! hahaha. siguro, 30minutes lang naman. at hindi masyadong matarik... And now, I guess I'll let the photos tell you what actually happened. :)
I guess, Iam now ready to trek |
a reminder for us to be extra careful. :) |
falling in love with Green Green Green!!! |
That's Kuya joel (our guide). the one wearing blue and mala Mayor na shorts. :) |
tutubi. i saw 3 different colors of tutubi. :) |
excited magswimming!! |
It'snot about how far you've gone, but how much you've learned because of the people you meet. :) |
Three Balsa Rides Before we reach Ambon Ambon. |
almost there.. i can see ambon ambon falls na!!! |
back massage. MORE FUN IN THE PHILIPPINES. |
bubble pool as i get BIGOTEfied. |
yeeeeeh!! |
mama as she gets towed. |
Coke nlng, coke float na! :) |
I'd rather swim and refused to ride a balsa again on our way back. |
can't get enough of it's crystal clear water. :) |
GOD! ganyan kadami ang tao!!! |
I guess, it's going to be my signature shot. i did this in Baguio, Bohol, Cebu, etc.. |
finally, i had a decent pic at the hanging bridge. see the kiddie pool at the far right? |
A few more photos at admin office before we leave..
As we went out of the park, there were several tricycle drivers waiting. kumikitng Kabuhayan sila kuya. This time, P30 na siningil sa amin. pumayag lang kami kasi medyo malayo nga. and dalawa naman kami. :)
Saying Grace before we leave Panguil
Jeep ulit to Sta. Cruz, this time, we tried Greenstar Bus bound to Buendia/LRT. Bus Fare is almost the same. P140.00. On your way home, make sure you try TATA WOODS' buko tart. it's definitely a must try. :)
It was my first time to see a real "Falls". Sa books ko lng sya nakikita before just like Chocolate Hills. It may sound like a cliche but there are a million reasons why IT'S MORE FUN IN THE PHILIPPINES. I'm planning to see and enjoy all the beautiful places dito sa Pinas. Not because I want to be a backpacker or a blogger who goes to a thousand places each year and write. I travel because when I do, I feel blessed. I feel so blessed na God made me A Filipino, na I live here in Pinas and I get to see these places and get Tan Lines foe LESS!!
Always Remember, we should never spend too much when travelling. Be practical. Be wise. And look for ways to save more.
Obvious naman na i fell in love with Ambon Ambon falls. so i'm thinking of going to Dahoyhoy in Quezon. :) Siguro not to soon, kasi ang daming tao for sure sa ngayon. :)
My bad. we brought bath soap kasi . i shouldve used alcohol na lang sana pra sa kamay ko. hahaha
i think it's time for us to Do something that really helps Mommy Earth. I'm glad i kept my promise. To leave nothing but footprints, to take nothing but pictures (lost and lots of pictures) and Kill nothing But time. Wow! Traveler na Traveler at Blogger na Blogger. (feeling lang). hahaha!
